Our journey as hosts began in 2019 with the idea of creating a very special place in the Alps. This is how Sonnberg Chalet in Lachtal came to life – a retreat in the mountains where nature, tranquility and genuine relaxation take center stage.

Our philosophy is very simple: we want to create a place that we ourselves would love to stay in on our own travels, every single day.

For us, Sonnberg Chalet is more than just accommodation for guests. We spend a lot of time here ourselves – skiing in winter, hiking in summer, or simply unwinding in the mountains. For our family, the chalet has become a second home and one of the places where we feel most comfortable.

And that is exactly the feeling we want to share with our guests.

Many of our ideas come from our own holidays and stays in the mountains: generous spaces, thoughtfully designed interiors, high-quality materials, and the feeling of returning to a cozy home after a day in nature. Whether you visit for a ski holiday in winter or hiking and outdoor adventures in summer – Sonnberg Chalet is a place to arrive, relax and breathe.

When we are not welcoming guests, we are usually outdoors ourselves – skiing in Lachtal, hiking in the mountains, or enjoying the peaceful views from the sunny terrace. These experiences flow directly into Sonnberg Chalet, creating authentic stays filled with alpine charm, warmth and personality.
